Leaving Kuwait, where there are about 800 Ukrainians, is currently only possible via the land borders of Saudi Arabia.

This was stated by Maksym Subkh, Ukraine's ambassador to Kuwait, in a comment to Ukrinform.

"There is currently no mass demand for evacuation among our citizens. Twenty-five Ukrainians have registered on our Google form, which we created to collect contact details of those who want to leave. Eighteen of them would like to leave. They are safe, but for various reasons they would like to leave Kuwait," the Ukrainian ambassador said.

He noted that it is possible to leave the country via Saudi Arabia's land borders. “Air traffic is operating in Saudi Arabia, albeit in a reduced form, but it is possible to reach Turkey, Egypt, and Cyprus,” Subkh said.

According to the diplomat, there are currently about 800 Ukrainian citizens in Kuwait. Of these, about 600 are permanent residents or workers, and 200 are tourists or people who are here temporarily.

As reported by Ukrinform, on March 4, President Volodymyr Zelensky held talks with Crown Prince of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, during which they discussed security challenges in the Middle East.
