Meeting on protection and restoration of Ukraine's cultural heritage takes place in Paris

According to Ukrinform, the Centre Culturel d'Ukraine en France stated this on Facebook.

The event was organized in partnership with the International Alliance for the Protection of Heritage in Conflict Areas (ALIPH) as part of the Ukraine Season in France. Representatives of leading cultural institutions participated in the meeting.

The discussion was opened with the participation of high-ranking officials: French Minister of Culture Rachida Dati, Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy and Minister of Culture of Ukraine Tetiana Berezhna, European Commissioner for Youth, Culture, Sport and Intergenerational Fairness Glenn Micallef, and Chair of the ALIPH Foundation Bariza Khiari.

Participants discussed the critical challenges Ukraine faces in protecting cultural assets and coordinated further steps toward the restoration of damaged architectural sites.

It is noted that the meeting became an important demonstration of solidarity by France and European partners with Ukraine and of support for its cultural identity.

As a reminder, a large-scale project titled "Ukrainian Neo-Folklore" was presented at one of the world's most prestigious design fairs, Maison&Objet, currently taking place in Paris. The exhibition showcases a contemporary reinterpretation of national traditions through innovative forms and technologies.
