As of January 27, Poland has raised over PLN 8.2 million (approximately €2 million) through a nationwide fundraiser for generators called "Warmth from Poland for Kyiv."

The campaign on the Pomagam.pl platform, organized by the Stand with Ukraine Foundation, has been supported by over 63,000 people, according to Ukrinform.

The maximum amount of the fundraiser, which has been going on for 12 days, has been increased several times and now stands at PLN 10 million.

The day before, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha met with volunteers from the Warmth from Poland for Kyiv initiative, who arrived in Kyiv with the first consignment of generators.

"I expressed my sincere gratitude to the volunteers for their open hearts, determination, and solidarity. In the current circumstances, it is precisely this ability to act quickly, take responsibility, and see things through that saves lives, supports cities, and strengthens Ukraine's resilience. The solidarity of Polish society is an integral part of the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Poland, as it not only complements intergovernmental cooperation but also strengthens interpersonal ties between our peoples," Sybiha wrote on Facebook.

Natalia Panchenko, leader of the Stand with Ukraine Foundation, reported yesterday that a total of 230 generators had been brought to Kyiv: 130 large generators were handed over directly to the Kyiv authorities, and 100 smaller generators were handed over to Polish volunteers working in Ukraine so that they could deliver them to the places where they are most needed.
