To mark the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language, activists of the Yellow Ribbon resistance movement organized the “Ї” campaign in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, spreading pro-Ukrainian symbols.

The movement reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“The ‘Ї’ campaign continues in all temporarily occupied regions and in Crimea. Yellow Ribbon activists keep sending us photos from various occupied cities,” the statement reads.

A large number of photos have already been sent from Melitopol, Simferopol, Yalta, Sevastopol, Luhansk, Alchevsk, and Donetsk.

“‘Ї’ is a symbol that warms the heart of every Ukrainian. It reminds us of what is ours, of our roots. It is about the ability to honor our past and determine our own future,” the activists emphasized.

Yellow Ribbon added that support for the campaign in occupied territories is immense. Even in such difficult times, Ukrainians are uniting and supporting one another.
