Kallas takes part in handover of EU equipment to Ukrainian law enforcement

According to Ukrinform, Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported this on Telegram.

He said that Kallas's visit is a clear signal of the European Union's political and practical support for Ukraine.

"We discussed key security issues, strengthening the capabilities of Ukrainian police officers and border guards, protecting critical infrastructure, and addressing the shared challenges of the winter period. Ukraine's security today is Europe's security as well," Klymenko said.

As part of the visit, a ceremony took place to deliver equipment to Ukrainian law enforcement agencies.

"This is tangible assistance that will be used immediately at the borders, in communities, and at critical infrastructure sites," the minister said.

Klymenko recalled that, overall, as part of cooperation during 2024-2025, Ukraine has received 70 vehicles for the National Police and 40 for the State Border Guard Service. According to him, this enhances mobility, efficiency, and the ability to respond to wartime challenges.

"We are grateful to the European Union for its systemic support. It allows us not only to endure but also to strengthen the security of our country every day," Klymenko said.

Kallas visited Kyiv on October 13.
