Power restored to all users in Cherkasy region; emergency blackouts in effect in Kyiv and seven regions

As of 14:30, power supply to customers in the Cherkasy region has been fully restored. Emergency blackouts are in effect in Kyiv and seven regions.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Ministry of Energy on Telegram.

“Thanks to the restoration work already completed, energy companies have managed to partially reduce the scope of emergency restrictions for users in the Kharkiv region. Customers in the Cherkasy region have been fully reconnected,” the report says.

Currently, emergency power cuts are in effect in Kyiv, Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions. In the Chernihiv region, hourly power cuts continue.

As reported, on the night of October 10, Russia carried out a massive attack on energy facilities in Ukraine. Infrastructure in Kyiv and 11 regions was damaged, and power supply restrictions were introduced in some of them.

The targets of the Russian attack on the night of October 10 were mainly power generation facilities on the left bank of Ukraine.
