Zelensky honors tank soldiers with state awards
The head of state announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“Yesterday, we all thanked our tank soldiers on their professional holiday, Tank Forces Day. Today, we are honoring you, the best soldiers, those who have proven themselves in defending our country and our positions, with state awards,” Zelensky said.

He noted that in modern warfare, the role of tank crew commanders has changed.
"The tasks of tank crew commanders are becoming much more difficult, but the importance of our tank forces remains very significant. The bravery and accuracy of our tank crews, the firepower and maneuverability of our tanks, are still important for defending Ukrainian positions and destroying Russian soldiers, their positions, and fortifications," the President said.

According to him, there are more than 100 tank battalions operating in our combat brigades, and these are all experienced units – a significant tank force in Europe.
“Soldiers we are proud of. Experience that Ukraine is ready to share with our partners,” the head of state emphasized.
