About two thousand civilians remain in the city of Pokrovsk in Donetsk region, and several utilities and shops are operating there.

This was reported on TV by the head of the Donetsk Military District Administration Vadym Filashkin, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The situation in the city of Pokrovsk is the most difficult, every day the enemy is firing with guided aerial bombs, cannon artillery, FPV drones. But in such conditions, about two thousand people are still in the city. Several utilities are operating there, and several shops are open,” said the head of the region.

He noted that the humanitarian situation in the city is very difficult, the enemy does not allow to bring humanitarian aid, shelling all vehicles entering the city.

“Only at a certain hour of the day, in coordination with our military, we are able to deliver humanitarian and medical aid... Drinking water is available in the city's wells, which were drilled six months ago. All access roads to the town of Pokrovsk are under full fire,” explained Filashkin.

He confirmed that residents are burying their relatives and neighbors who died in Pokrovsk on their own.

“As for the burials, people do not ask either the authorities or police units for help with burying people, they bury them on their own,” said the head of the RMA.
