A farewell ceremony for Ukrinform journalist Tetiana Kulyk and her husband, oncologist-surgeon Pavlo Ivanchov, who were killed on February 26 in a Russian drone attack, was held at the Bohomolets National Medical University in Kyiv.

According to Ukrinform, the ceremony was attended by Ukrinform Director Serhii Cherevatyi, Bohomolets University Rector Yurii Kuchyn, colleagues, friends, journalists, doctors, scientists, and students.

"Russian criminals wanted to kill our faith, but thanks to the memory of people like Pavlo Vasyliovych and Tetiana Mykolaivna, they will never succeed. They continue to live in their students, in their ideas and achievements, in our hearts and memories. I am incredibly proud that, even for a short time, I had the chance to walk alongside Tetiana Mykolaivna. It is incredibly painful, and I express the grief of our entire team at losing such bright and remarkable individuals," said Ukrinform Director Serhii Cherevatyi.

"It is hard to imagine... a greater loss than a dedicated professor with an entire scientific school and decades of potential contributions ahead, whose life was cut short by the Russians. Pavlo was indomitable... I don't know how we will fill the void left behind. But I do know one thing — we must complete the work they were unable to finish," emphasized Rector of Bohomolets National Medical University, Yurii Kuchyn.

The couple will be laid to rest at Baikove Cemetery at 14:00, March 3.
