Documentary "20 Days in Mariupol" nominated for Oscars

A documentary about the first days of the Russian siege of Ukraine’s Mariupol has been officially nominated for Oscars in the Documentary Feature Film category.

That’s according to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Ukrinform reports.

The film was co-directed by Mstislav Chernov, Michelle Mizner, and Raney Aronson-Rath.

It was produced in cooperation with the Associated Press and American documentarians from Frontline. The content for the film was shot during the first days of the Mariupol siege.

This year’s award ceremony will be held in Los Angeles on March 10, and hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
