Ukrainian aircraft delivers 101 tonnes of humanitarian aid to earthquake victims in Turkey

Ukrainian aircraft An-124 delivered 101 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Turkey's airbase to help earthquake victims.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba wrote this on his Twitter account, Ukrinform reports.

“This week, Ukraine’s Antonov AN-124 delivered 101 tons of humanitarian aid to Incirlik Air Base to help families affected by recent earthquakes. Coordinated by France’s armed forces, delivered by Ukraine’s aircraft, unloaded by Turkey’s and U.S. military. As allies, we come together in trying times,” Kuleba wrote.

According to the latest data, 44,374 people died and 198,068 were injured in Turkey as a result of the earthquakes on February 6.

As Ukrinform reported, as a result of the earthquakes, more than 164,000 buildings in Turkey were destroyed, severely damaged and are now subject to demolition
