Poland eases regulations for Ukrainian drivers

Ukrinform
Poland has expanded the range of opportunities for the use of Ukrainian divers’ licenses on the country’s territory.

That’s according to the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, Ukrinform reports.

"Now, a driver's license issued in Ukraine is considered valid on the territory of Poland until December 31, 2023, even if the validity period of such a license has expired," the report reads.

This became possible after amendments were passed on January 13 to the law on assistance to citizens of Ukraine in connection with the armed conflict on the territory of this state.

"Also, all citizens who crossed into the territory of Poland by car with Ukrainian state registration plates and have a vehicle registration certificate issued in Ukraine can freely move around the territory of this country until December 31, 2023 without leaving for Ukraine," noted the Ministry.

The provision applies to all citizens of Ukraine who are legally staying in the territory of the Republic of Poland, including those who had been in Poland before February 24, 2022.

As reported by Ukrinform, the government has expanded the categories of female and male civil servants who are allowed to cross out of Ukraine.
