Odesa to close schools for two days due to difficult energy situation

The city of Odesa has announced that February 6 and 7 will be days off for schools due to the difficult situation with electricity supply.

The Odesa City Council wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Due to the critical situation with electricity supply in the city, holidays have been announced for educational institutions on Monday and Tuesday, February 6 and 7," the city council said in a statement.

As reported by Ukrinform, on February 3 and 4, two large-scale accidents occurred at the key substation of Ukrenergo. It supplied power to Odesa and the Odesa district. About 300,000 subscribers were left without electricity.
