UNDP Ukraine to help digitize forest industry

The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine and the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine have agreed on joint projects in the field of development and digitization of forestry.

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, Ruslan Strilets, said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

"We agreed together with the United Nations Development Program to implement joint projects in the field of development and digitization of forestry and within the framework of the recently concluded climate agreement between Ukraine and Switzerland," the report said.

According to the minister, the agreements were recorded during a meeting with the Acting Resident Representative to the UN Development Program in Ukraine, Manal Fouani.

In addition to projects for the development of the forest sector, the parties discussed the post-war environmental restoration of Ukraine and preparations for the 27th UN Climate Change Conference COP 27.
