Hundreds of diplomats, Ukrainians abroad, and foreign friends of our country put on traditional Ukrainian embroidered shirts, vyshyvankas, to express their support for Ukraine.

"Today, hundreds of people around the globe – our diplomats, Ukrainians abroad, foreign friends – have put on vyshyvankas to express their support for Ukraine! For all of us, vyshyvanka is a symbol of unity, love for Ukraine, and faith in victory," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine posted on Facebook.

Ukraine celebrates Vyshyvanka Day on the third Thursday of May. Vyshyvanka Day was founded by Lesia Voroniuk, a student of the Chernivtsi National University, in 2006. Vyshyvanka is a traditional Ukrainian embroidered shirt.
