More than 120 tonnes of humanitarian aid from the Government of Poland have arrived in Kyiv.

According to an Ukrinform correspondent, humanitarian aid was sent to Ukraine from the Dorohusk-Yahodyn border checkpoint on the morning of January 31.

This support was organized by the Polish government at the request of the Ukrainian side.

The cargo was delivered to Kyiv by a convoy of 29 trucks, accompanied by Ukrainian State Emergency Service rescuers. The cargo arrived in Kyiv on February 1.

In particular, Poland handed over medical supplies, camp beds, blankets and bed linen to Ukraine. Ukraine also received two million masks for protection against COVID-19.

In a letter to the Ukrainian State Emergency Service, the Polish side expressed hope that this support would help Ukrainian citizens in the current crisis situation and in the fight against COVID-19.
