Ukraine reports 6,552 new COVID-19 cases

Ukraine has recorded 6,552 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Health Ministry has reported on Facebook.

"Some 6,552 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 (including 574 cases among children and 165 cases among healthcare workers) were recorded in Ukraine on September 27, 2021," the report reads.

According to the report, 143 coronavirus-related deaths, 1,288 hospital admissions, 2,927 recoveries were registered in Ukraine on September 27.

As many as 2,401,956 people in Ukraine have contracted coronavirus, 2,248,071 have recovered, and 55,863 have died since the pandemic began.

The largest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours was recorded in Dnipropetrovsk region (595), Kharkiv region (547), Donetsk region (528), Zaporizhia region (500), and Kyiv (461).

Some 3,007 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Ukraine on September 26.
