The event was organized on the initiative of Olena Zelenska, the wife of the President of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.
Ten first ladies, the wives of the heads of Latvia, Lithuania, Serbia, Lebanon, Israel, Germany, Croatia, Costa Rica, Brazil, and the European Council, confirmed their participation in the summit.
The summit will be held in a hybrid format: some participants were unable to come to Kyiv due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions and will join online.
The Kyiv Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen is an apolitical event and a purely humanitarian forum, Olena Zelenska stated earlier. A declaration on cooperation in the field of health, education, and equal opportunities in the face of new realities in the world is planned to be signed at the summit.
