Evacuation from Afghanistan: Ukrainian plane leaves Kabul

Ukraine’s military transport aircraft IL-76MD with evacuated citizens has left Kabul on Saturday, August 21.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine wrote this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Today, August 21, IL-76MD military transport aircraft of the 25th Transport Aviation Brigade of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine took off from Kabul Airport (Afghanistan)," reads the report.

The number of evacuees and the time of return to Ukraine are being clarified.

As Ukrinform reported, at the beginning of the week, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky informed that 80 people, including eight Ukrainians, were evacuated from Kabul by Ukrainian plane.
