Kyiv records 245 new COVID-19 cases

Kyiv city recorded 245 new coronavirus cases on August 18, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote on his Facebook page.

"The capital has confirmed 245 coronavirus cases in the past day. No lethal cases from the virus have been reported. In total, 5,264 people have died from the coronavirus in Kyiv since the beginning of the pandemic. The total number of confirmed cases has reached 221,828,” Klitschko wrote.

Among people who have fallen ill with COVID-19 are 137 women aged 19-85 years, 94 men aged 19-80 years, 5 girls aged 4-15 years, and 9 boys aged between 10 months and 15 years.

At the same time, 187 people have recovered over the course of the past day. In total, 214,393 Kyiv residents have overcome the disease.

As reported, Ukraine recorded 1,560 new COVID-19 cases on August 18.
