Duda to give Ukraine batch of medical equipment during visit to Kyiv

President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda will hand over a large batch of medical equipment to Ukraine during his visit to Kyiv, according to the Polish Radio.

“President Andrzej Duda will officially hand over the equipment, which was sent to Ukraine in a very large convoy, on August 24,” said Piotr Ćwik, Deputy Head of the Polish President’s Chancellery.

According to him, the transfer of equipment is a manifestation of European solidarity in the region.

The convoy consists of trucks carrying tens of thousands of liters of disinfectants and several million face masks, gloves, etc. In addition, about 650,000 coronavirus vaccine doses are also sent to Ukraine.

As Ukrinform reported, Polish President Andrzej Duda will take part in the inaugural summit of the Crimea Platform and events to mark the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence.
