Lebanon's Byblos city to organize festive events to mark Ukraine’s independence – embassy

Ambassador of Ukraine to Lebanon Ihor Ostash and Head of Lebanon's Byblos Municipality Wissam Zaarour have agreed to organize festive events in Byblos city to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence.

The Ukrainian embassy wrote about this on its Facebook page, Ukrinform reports.

During the meeting, the officials also discussed the issue of deepening Ukrainian-Lebanese cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

As reported, a monument to Taras Shevchenko, which will be the first in the Middle East and the 100th outside Ukraine, will be unveiled in the Ukrainian park in Baabda on August 19 as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence.
