Zelensky heads presidential rating, Servant of the People leads parliamentary rating

If the presidential election in Ukraine took place in the near future, the incumbent president, Volodymyr Zelensky, would receive the most votes in the first and second rounds, whereas the Servant of the People party would gain the most support in the elections to the Verkhovna Rada.

According to Ukrinform, this is stated in a study "Trust in public institutions and politicians, electoral orientations of Ukrainian citizens (July 2021)," conducted by the Razumkov Center.

According to the survey, 19.5% of all respondents or 29% of those who will take part in the elections and have already decided who to vote for would support Zelensky in the first round.

Some 10% and 16% of respondents, respectively, intend to vote for the fifth Ukrainian president, European Solidarity party leader Petro Poroshenko, 10% and 15% for a co-chair of the Opposition Platform – For Life faction, Yuriy Boiko, 8% and 11% for Batkivshchyna party leader Yulia Tymoshenko, 4% and 6% for Strength and Honour party leader Ihor Smeshko, 2% and 3% for Radical Party leader Oleh Liashko, 2% and 3% for former Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, 2% and 3% for the head of the secretariat of the Svoboda party, Ruslan Koshulynsky, 2% and 2% for Verkhovna Rada Chairman Dmytro Razumkov, 1% and 2% for Civic Position party leader Anatoliy Hrytsenko, 1% and 1% for Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, and 0.5% and 1% for a former Opposition Bloc MP, Oleksandr Vilkul.

In the event of an electoral rivalry in the second round with Poroshenko, Zelensky would receive 28% of the vote of all respondents or 61% of the votes of those who will take part in the election and have already decided who to vote for, whereas Poroshenko would garner 17% and 39% of the vote, respectively.

If Zelensky and Boiko make it to the second round, 31% of all respondents would vote for Zelensky, or 68% of those who will take part in the election and have decided who to vote for, and 15% and 32%, respectively, would vote for Boiko.

According to the survey, if the elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine took place in the near future, the Servant of the People party would receive the greatest support of voters (17% of all respondents or 27% of those who will take part in the elections and have decided which party they will vote for).

Some 11% and 17% of those polled, respectively, are ready to vote for the European Solidarity party, 11% and 16% for the Opposition Platform - For Life party, 8% and 11% for the Batkivshchyna party, 4% and 6% for the Strength and Honour party, 2% and 3% for Svoboda, 2% and 3% for the Ukrainian Strategy of Groysman, 2% and 3% for Oleh Liashko's Radical Party, 15 and 2% for the Party of Shariy, 1% and 1.5% for the Civic Position party, 1% and 1% for Vitali Klitschko's UDAR party, 1% and 1% for the Holos (Voice) party, 1% and 1% for the For the Future party, 0.5% and 1% for the Opposition Bloc party, 0.5% and 0.5% for the Nash Krai (Our Land) party, and 0.4% and 0.3% for the Proposition party.

The survey was conducted by the sociological service of the Razumkov Center from July 29 to August 4, 2021. As many as 2,019 respondents aged 18 and over were interviewed in all regions of Ukraine, except for Crimea and the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The poll's margin of error does not exceed 2.3%.
