COVID-19 vaccination in Ukraine: almost 2.5 million receive two doses

On Sunday, August 8, a total of 51,445 people were vaccinated for COVID-19 across Ukraine, while 2,401,647 people were fully immunized.

That’s according to the Ministry of Health, Ukrinform reports.

"On August 8, 2021, a total of 51,445 people were vaccinated for COVID-19. Of them, 30,988 people received a single dose, while 20,457 people were fully immunized," the statement said.

Over the past day, 277 mobile teams operated across the country, along with 816 vaccination points and 340 vaccination centers.

Since the launch of the vaccination campaign, 4,137,073 people have been vaccinated, of whom 4,137,071 received a single dose and 2,401,647 people were fully immunized, having received two doses (two of them got their first dose abroad).

A total of 6,538,718 vaccinations were administered, according to the Ministry of Health.
