Over 167,000 people get COVID-19 jabs in Ukraine on Aug 5

A total of 167,383 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ukraine on Thursday, August 5, the Ukrainian Health Ministry has reported on Facebook.
"A new daily vaccination record! As many as 167,383 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on August 5, 2021. Some 98,447 people received their first dose, and 68,936 people were fully vaccinated," the report reads.
According to the ministry, 894 mobile vaccination teams, 2,709 vaccination sites, and 301 vaccination centres were operating across the country in the past day.
A total of 6,237,706 doses have been administered in Ukraine since it launched a vaccination campaign, with 3,953,540 people receiving their first dose and 2,284,166 people receiving both doses (two people received their first dose abroad).
Some 159,121 people received COVID-19 jabs in Ukraine on August 4.
