Over 153,000 people get COVID-19 jabs in Ukraine on Aug 3

A total of 153,258 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ukraine on Tuesday, August 3, the Ukrainian Health Ministry has reported on Facebook.

"As many as 153,258 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 on August 3, 2021. Some 89,892 people received their first dose, and 63,366 people were fully vaccinated," the report reads.

According to the ministry, 943 mobile vaccination teams, 2,612 vaccination sites, and 279 vaccination centres were operating across the country in the past day.

A total of 5,911,202 doses have been administered in Ukraine since it launched a vaccination campaign, with 3,759,403 people receiving their first dose and 2,151,799 people receiving both doses (two people received their first dose abroad).

Some 984 new coronavirus cases were registered in Ukraine on August 3.
