Ukraine and Georgia are planning to approve the mutual recognition of vaccination documents, which would ease the procedure for crossing the border for citizens of both countries.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this at a joint briefing with President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili in Kyiv on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports

“Coordination in the field of human relations and tourism should be strengthened, especially in the context of the ongoing pandemic. Mutual recognition of vaccination documents is on the agenda, which will ease as much as possible the crossing of the border for citizens of both countries,” Zelensky said.

As Ukrinform reported, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister for Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced that from July 1, Ukraine would introduce electronic certificates that will prove that a person has been vaccinated against COVID-19.
