Ukraine reports 1,274 new coronavirus cases

Ukraine has recorded 1,274 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 2,222,701.

"Some 1,274 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Ukraine as of June 12, 2021. Among them are 40 children and 53 health workers," the Health Ministry of Ukraine posted on Facebook.

According to the report, 69 COVID-related deaths, 709 hospitalizations, and 4,905 recoveries were registered in Ukraine on June 11.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,222,701 people in Ukraine have contracted coronavirus, 2,125,685 have recovered, and 51,646 have died.

The highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours was recorded in Kyiv city (215), Kharkiv region (104), Kyiv region (102), Lviv region (84), and Donetsk region (84).

Over the past 24 hours, more than 62,000 people in Ukraine were vaccinated against coronavirus.

According to the Ministry of Health, a total of 1,430,992 people have got vaccinated in Ukraine since the beginning of the campaign.
