Ukraine reports 3,096 new coronavirus cases

Ukraine has recorded 3, 096 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 2,199,769.

"Some 3,096 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Ukraine as of May 29, 2021. In particular, 144 children and 55 health workers contracted coronavirus," the Health Ministry of Ukraine posted on Telegram.

On May 28, 156 COVID-related deaths, 1,309 hospitalizations, and 10,199 recoveries were registered in Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,199,769 people in Ukraine have contracted coronavirus, 2,030,415 have recovered and 50,388 have died.

The highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours was recorded in Kyiv city (377), Dnipropetrovsk region (261), Lviv region (231), Kyiv region (197), and Zaporizhzhia region (170).
