Ukraine reports 2,608 new coronavirus cases

Ukraine has recorded 2,608 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 2,186,463, the Ukrainian Health Ministry has reported on Telegram.
"Some 2,608 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have been recorded in Ukraine as of May 25. In particular, 129 children and 76 health workers have fallen ill," the report reads.
According to the report, 249 COVID-related deaths, 854 hospitalizations and 17,504 recoveries were registered in Ukraine on May 24.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,186,463 people in Ukraine have contracted coronavirus, 1,975,064 have recovered and 49,685 have died.
The highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours was recorded in Kyiv (402), Lviv region (214), Zaporizhia region (206), Kyiv region (170), and Dnipropetrovsk region (168).
Some 1,334 confirmed COVID-19 cases were recorded in Ukraine on May 23.
