Ukrainian- and English-language audio guides launched at Mariyinsky Palace
"Audio guide at the Mariyinsky Palace! [It was] launched in two languages at once, Ukrainian and English," Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska posted on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
Zelenska informed that 16 Ukrainian-language audio guides had already been launched abroad within the framework of the cultural diplomacy project, and the English-language version was launched in Ukraine for the first time today.
"The Mariyinsky Palace is a special place for me. Last September, I started a day of free tours for schoolchildren. Over this period, 83 tours were held, more than 1,200 children got acquainted with the history and interesting facts about the Mariyinsky Palace," the First Lady said.
Zelenska noted that solemn receptions and meetings with foreign guests had been taken place in the more than 200 years old Mariyinsky Palace.
The First Lady hopes that audio guides would help Ukrainians and foreign guests find out about the history of this remarkable and beautiful place.
A Baroque palace designed by Bartolomeo Rastrelli is now the official ceremonial residence of the President of Ukraine in Kyiv.
