Kyiv reports 753 new COVID-19 cases

Kyiv city has recorded 753 new coronavirus cases in the past day, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

"+753 confirmed coronavirus cases (in total, 198,721),” the mayor wrote on Telegram.

Among people who have contracted COVID-19 in Kyiv in the past day are 410 women aged 18-97 years; 13 girls aged 1-17 years; 315 men aged 18-95 years; and 15 boys aged 1-17 years.

Some 37 coronavirus deaths were confirmed in Kyiv over the past day. Since the start of the pandemic, the total number of deaths from COVID-19 in the city has reached 4,787.

At the same time, 1,268 people recovered in Kyiv over the past day. In total, 127,886 Kyiv residents have overcome the disease.

As of May 8, Ukraine reported 2,114,138 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 8,710 new cases recorded over the past 24 hours.
