Ukraine reports 2,472 new coronavirus cases

Ukraine has recorded 2,472 new coronavirus cases over the past day, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 2,088,410.
"Some 2,472 new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were recorded in Ukraine as of May 4, 2021. In particular, 122 children and 22 health workers contracted COVID-19," Health Minister Maksym Stepanov posted on his Facebook page.
According to the minister, 166 deaths, 7,815 recoveries and 1,325 hospitalizations were registered in Ukraine in the last day.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 44,916 deaths and 1,689,630 recoveries have been recorded.
The highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours was registered in Donetsk region (324), Cherkasy region (253), Dnipropetrovsk region (220), Kharkiv region (191), and Odesa region (168).
