Markarova meets with representatives of Ukrainian diaspora in U.S.

"Very pleasant and productive meeting with Iryna Mazur, an active representative of Ukrainian community in the U.S. and such reputable organizations like “Ukrainian Federation of America” or “Razom for Ukraine” and more importantly our Honorary Consul in Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania. We have the great plans for political, economic and cultural cooperation between Ukrainian and American regions," the report reads.
Markarova also met with Michael Sawkiw, Vice President of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA) and Director of the Ukrainian National Information Service (UNIS).
"Extension and diversification of Ukraine’s cooperation with the U.S. Congress is one of the top priorities. Today we had a pleasure to welcome to the Embassy of Ukraine Michael Sawkiw, Vice President of Ukrainian Congress Committee of America and Director of Ukrainian National Information Service and align our #TeamUkraine plans,” she wrote.
As reported, on April 23, Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova held the first meeting with the Consuls General of Ukraine in New York, Chicago and San Francisco, during which they discussed ideas for improving services for Ukrainians.
President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Markarova as Ukraine's ambassador to the United States on February 25.
