Dynamics of incidence of COVID-19 in Ukraine decreasing – Shmyhal

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal says the dynamics of the incidence of coronavirus disease COVID-19 has decreased in Ukraine.

He said this at a traditional conference call on combating the coronavirus pandemic chaired by President Volodymyr Zelensky, according to the official website of the head of state.

"Bed occupancy rates have improved over the past three weeks. Weekly figures also show stability. As for the number of active patients, the dynamics of growth has slowed down," the PM said.

He said that a total of 77,698 beds were allocated for COVID-19 patients in Ukraine. Of these, 67,567 are supplied with oxygen. Some 44,415 of them are occupied today.

As reported, Ukraine recorded 6,506 new coronavirus cases on April 18.

As many as 450,647 people in Ukraine have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine since the start of vaccination campaign.
