Kyiv reports 1,609 new coronavirus cases

"The city has recorded 1,609 new patients over the past day. Forty-nine people have died - 18 women and 31 men," he said at a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

According to Klitschko, 4,121 lethal cases from the virus have been recorded in the capital since the start of the pandemic. A total number of confirmed cases in Kyiv have reached 183,300.

Among people who have contracted COVID-19 in Kyiv in the past day are 926 women aged 18-91 years; 32 girls aged between 1-17 years; 621 men aged 18-92 years; 30 boys aged between ten months and 17 years old. Forty-four health workers are among new COVID-19 patients.

At the same time, 1,156 people have recovered in Kyiv over the course of the past day. In total, 114,396 Kyiv residents have overcome the disease.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine recorded 17,479 new coronavirus on April 15.
