Almost 13,000 people in Ukraine received first dose of COVID-19 vaccine in past day

As many as 12,856 people in Ukraine were vaccinated against COVID-19 yesterday, April 5, Ukrinform reports with reference to the Ministry of Health’s portal “Vaccination against COVID-19”.

In total, 304,680 people in Ukraine have been vaccinated since the start of vaccination campaign. In particular, people vaccinated with first dose – 304,678, fully vaccinated people (received two doses) - 2.

On April 5, 132 mobile vaccination teams and 619 stationary vaccination points operated across the country to conduct vaccination.

On April 5, the highest vaccination rate was recorded in Kyiv city –1,710 injections per day. At the same time, no vaccination was carried out in Kyiv region yesterday and only 10 people were vaccinated in Kherson region.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine launched the coronavirus vaccination campaign on February 24, 2021.

Ukraine has recorded 13,276 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 1,769,164.
