Ukraine reports 20,341 new coronavirus cases

Ukraine has recorded 20,341 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 1,731,971.
"Some 20,341 new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have been recorded in Ukraine as of April 3, 2021. Some 809 children and 473 health workers have fallen ill," Health Minister Maksym Stepanov wrote on his Facebook page.
Stepanov also noted that 396 deaths, 9,166 recoveries and 5,186 hospitalizations were registered in Ukraine on April 2.
The highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on April 2 was recorded in Kyiv city (2,053), Lviv region (1,538), Odesa region (1,521), Kharkiv region (1,470), and Dnipropetrovsk region (1,433).
A total of 19,893 COVID-19 cases were recorded in Ukraine on April 1.
