Almost 18,000 Ukrainians vaccinated against COVID-19 in past day
"Over the past day, 17,939 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 in Ukraine… In total, 192,264 people have been vaccinated since the beginning of the vaccination campaign. Of whom, 192,263 people were vaccinated with the first dose, and 1 person was fully vaccinated (received 2 doses)," the report reads.
As noted, 180 mobile immunization teams and 493 stationary vaccination points operated across the country to carry out vaccination.
On March 26, the largest number of vaccinations was carried out in Kyiv city – 1,650 injections. For the entire period of the vaccination campaign in Ukraine, the highest number of vaccinations was recorded in Dnipropetrovsk region – 13,489.
Vaccination against coronavirus in Ukraine started on February 24.
According to Ukraine’s national vaccination plan, vaccination is voluntary and includes five stages. Medical personnel working in hospitals designated for treatment of COVID-19 patients are among those offered the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines, as well as workers of mobile teams that carry out coronavirus vaccination.
As of March 27, Ukraine reported 1,632,131 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 17,424 new cases recorded over the past 24 hours.
