First batch of Sinovac vaccine will include 200,000 doses - Ministry of Health
“According to the information provided by Lekhim, we expect the first batch in the amount of 200,000 doses. Then the rest will be delivered. After the delivery, there will be laboratory control according to our legislation. It is conducted by the State Service on Medicines and Drugs Control together with the State Exert Center of the Ministry of Health. I think we will conduct it quickly, within 10 days," Stepanov told journalists, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Lekhim group of pharmaceutical companies announced it would to deliver the first batch of the Chinese-made Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines to Ukraine on March 25.
It was previously reported that the first batch of Sinovac Biotech vaccines would arrive in Ukraine on March 15. The first batch of the vaccine was expected in the amount of 700,000 doses. In total, the company has to supply 1.9 million doses of the vaccine.
On February 23, a batch of the Oxford/AstraZeneca (Covishield) vaccine made by Serum Institute of India (SII) arrived in Ukraine.
