Bed occupancy rate at hospitals in Kyiv exceeds 74% - Klitschko

As of today, bed occupancy rate at COVID-19 designated hospitals in Kyiv city exceeds 74%, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

"Bed occupancy rate at public healthcare facilities is more than 74% as of today,” Klitschko said at a briefing on March 24, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to the mayor, 4,065 coronavirus patients, including 39 children, are currently receiving treatment at Kyiv city's hospitals, which is the highest number since the start of the pandemic.

As many as 2,703 coronavirus patients are in serious condition, 3,206 patients receive oxygen support, and 49 patients are on ventilators, Klitschko added.

As reported, the city of Kyiv confirmed a total of 155,336 coronavirus cases, including 1,300 new cases recorded in the past day.
