Foreigners allowed to enter Ukraine only with negative COVID-19 PCR test

The Cabinet of Ministers allowed foreigners to enter Ukraine only with a negative PCR test result for COVID-19, Health Minister Maksym Stepanov has said.

He said this at a briefing on March 23, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Changes have been made to the border crossing ... Regardless of the country from which a citizen comes, everyone will have to provide a certificate of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result," the minister said.

The test must be taken no later than 48 hours before entering Ukraine.

As of March 23, Ukraine recorded 11,476 new coronavirus cases over the past day, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 1,565,732. Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 30,431 deaths and 1,268,886 recoveries have been recorded.
