Minister Tkachenko: Great Restoration project to cover 150 sites

The reconstruction of cultural heritage sites within the Great Restoration project is designed for three years and will cover 150 sites.

“Our highlight is the Great Restoration project which has been talked about a lot. We start work this year. Together with local administrations, we make lists that must be approved by experts. There will be a total of 150 sites. The budget for this year is UAH 2 billion. The project will last three years,” Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko said during the All-Ukrainian Forum “Ukraine 30. Culture. Media. Tourism”, the press service of the Servant of the People party informs.

According to the minister, although the project is limited in time, the experience of Eastern European countries shows that such work will continue.

“These are new meanings in the regions, these are tourist magnets, these are new roads that lead to the Great Restoration sites. The attractions are located throughout the country,” Tkachenko said.

As reported, UAH 2 billion was budgeted for the implementation of the Great Restoration project this year.
