Ukraine reports a 30% decrease in tuberculosis cases in 2020

Ukraine recorded a 30% reduction in the number of tuberculosis cases in 2020 compared with previous year, according to the Public Health Center.
"In 2020, 17,593 tuberculosis cases were registered in Ukraine. This is almost 30% less compared with the previous year," Public Health Center wrote on its Facebook page.
It is noted that the incidence statistics show positive dynamics since 2014, but Ukraine is still in the top 20 countries with the highest burden of drug resistant tuberculosis.
