Ukraine reports 5,572 new coronavirus cases

Ukraine has reported 1,406,800 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 5,572 new cases recorded over the past 24 hours.
"Some 5,572 new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have been recorded in Ukraine as of March 8, 2021. In particular, 309 children and 123 health workers contracted COVID-19," Health Minister Maksym Stepanov posted on his Facebook page.
According to him, 106 deaths, 1,734 recoveries and 2,136 hospitalizations were registered in Ukraine in the last day.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 27,128 deaths and 1,198,254 recoveries have been recorded.
The highest number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours was registered in Vinnytsia region (578), Zhytomyr region (570), Ivano-Frankivsk region (508), Lviv region (507), and Chernivtsi region (447).
