The Ministry for Veterans' Affairs of Ukraine will cooperate with the Embassy of Austria in Ukraine on the rehabilitation and socialization of war veterans.

Ukraine’s Minister for Veterans Affairs Yulia Laputina said this during an online meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to Ukraine Gernot Pfandler, the press service of the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs reported.

"The Ministry for Veterans' Affairs is interested in further expanding cooperation with Austria. Among the most important areas is the rehabilitation of war veterans, in particular, the implementation of a rehabilitation program for ATO / JFO participants with profound visual impairments," Laputina said.

She welcomed Austria's support for Ukraine's European integration path, in particular, expert and technical assistance in the implementation of the Association Agreement with the European Union.

Laputina also added that for all seven years of the war, Austria has been constantly providing humanitarian assistance to Ukraine and its citizens who have suffered as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

In turn, Pfandler assured that Austria will continue to support Ukraine on its path to European integration and help servicemen return to a peaceful life.
