Over 70% of Ukrainians think their country moving in wrong direction

Some 74.3% of respondents believe that Ukraine is moving in the wrong direction, and 10% think the country is moving in the right direction, according to a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.

Some 15.7% of those polled were undecided or refused to answer this question.

An all-Ukrainian poll was conducted on January 22, 2021. Computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI) were used to interview 1,005 respondents living in all regions of Ukraine (except the Autonomous Republic of Crimea) based on a random sample of mobile phone numbers. The sample does not include territories that are temporarily not controlled by the Ukrainian authorities - the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, some districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

In Luhansk and Donetsk regions, the survey was conducted only in the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities.

The poll's margin of error (with a probability of 0.95 and without taking into account the design effect) does not exceed 3.1% for figures close to 50%, 2.7% for figures close to 25%, 2.1% for figures close to 12%, and 1.4% for figures close to 5%.
