Highest incidence of COVID-19 cases recorded in three regions, Kyiv city

As of January 20, the highest incidence of coronavirus cases in Ukraine has been recorded in Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Cherkasy regions and the city of Kyiv.

According to the Health Ministry data, the highest incidence of coronavirus cases over the past 14 days was registered in Mykolaiv region (387.8 cases per 100,000 people), Zaporizhzhia region (376.8), Cherkasy region (302) and Kyiv city (301.5).

An average incidence of COVID-19 cases across Ukraine is 214.1 cases per 100,000 people.

The lowest incidence rate of COVID-19 cases in the past 14 days was recorded in Kirovohrad region (84.1 per 100,000 people), Zakarpattia region (108.3).

As of January 19, the occupancy rate for hospital beds set aside for COVID-19 amounted to 29.5% across the country and 32.8% in Kyiv city.

The highest level of occupancy rate was recorded in Mykolaiv region (40.5%).

As of January 20, Ukraine has reported a total of 1,172,038 coronavirus cases, including 4,383 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
