Ukraine’s primary care facilities received more than UAH 18B in 2020
"In 2020, the National Health Service of Ukraine transferred more than UAH 18 billion to primary care providers," the Service wrote on Facebook.
More than 30.8 million Ukrainians, or more than 75% of the country's population, have already signed declarations with primary care physicians. According to the e-health system, more than 23,400 doctors provide primary care.
As reported, Ukraine’s primary health care reform began in April 2018. Citizens have the right to choose a primary care doctor, family doctor or pediatrician, regardless of their place of residence, form of ownership of the medical institution. The patient is provided with the full range of services under the medical guarantees program free of charge.
