Kyiv reports 438 new coronavirus cases

Kyiv city has confirmed 438 new coronavirus cases in the past day, bringing the total to 116,469, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

“Some 438 new coronavirus patients have been registered in Kyiv over the past day. Eleven people have died. In total, 2,052 Kyiv residents have died from the coronavirus,” Klitschko wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to him, among people who have contracted COVID-19 in Kyiv in the past day are 238 women aged 20-91 years; 8 girls aged 8-17 years; 179 men aged 20-88 years; and 13 boys aged 1-17 years old.

Some 126 people have recovered in Kyiv over the course of the past day. In total, 42,336 Kyiv residents have overcome the disease.

As of January 8, Ukraine reported 1,105,169 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 5,676 new cases recorded over the past 24 hours.
